Here’s a list of great online services that I use to keep everything organized & running smoothly – check ‘em out!
P.S.: Some of these are affiliate links.. if you sign up, I get a little something.
Evernote
Pretty much all my knowledge is in my Evernote account somewhere. You might think that would be a mess, but it’s not, as Evernote has great search functions and can be accessed with a desktop app, smartphone app (iPhone/Android/Bberry), and the web. Indispensable features like shared notebooks, note encryption, web clipping and more. Too much awesomeness to list here.
Email Marketing
I recently became a devote of MailChimp. Besides it being free for up to 2000 subscribers, it has fantastic integration features (which is what sold me on it). My MailChimp account is interconnected to my Google Apps account, FreshBooks, Rapportive, Formstack and BatchBook. I’m a huge sucker for anything that saves me time and data entry. Power tip: get a very reasonably priced paid account and check out the SocialPro features – which gives you real time demographic and social media data on your subscribers. Beyond cool!
Depending on your goals, AWeber is also an excellent choice for email marketing. Yes, it’s a bit overwhelming if you are a casual user, but your messages won’t be routed to spam folders. And your opt-in forms will be really easy to build and beautiful. You can create RSS mailers and build very sophisticated autoresponders and segment lists. Their blog has a boatload of great email tips. Their customer support is stellar too. Try it for $1.
Domains
I offer hosting and domains via my own sales site at ProVirtual Domains. We offer super-low pricing on almost any type of domain name. Great 24/7 client phone support, too!
Web Hosting for WordPress
Although I offer web hosting at ProVirtual Domains, for hosting WordPress sites, I recommend Bluehost. Its reasonably priced, has a great back-end “CPanel” dashboard and supports WordPress beautifully…in fact, WordPress even recommends them.
Formstack
Everyone that has worked with me for any period of time has heard my Formstack pitch. It does web forms, but adds so many other features. It’s a data collection tool, secure form builder, shopping cart and survey tool. Don’t waste time custom coding a custom solution – Formstack does the job better and more securely than anything you can build yourself. Also – it integrates with all the other great stuff I use!
RingCentral
RingCentral Mobile will get your business phone under control and make you sound like a Fortune 100 company. Advanced (really advanced) call forwarding, multiple greetings, extensions, and mobile apps for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry, too. Oh – fax is included, too. Try it FREE for 30 days.

FreshBooks
I once spent about 8 hours every month on invoicing – and that didn’t include time reporting – a very BAD thing. I switched to FreshBooks and now spend about 45 minutes per month on invoicing. The monthly fee pays for itself every month – many multiple times over in time saved. Plus, clients can log in and see account history and pay online. If you are a service professional, do yourself a favor and try FreshBooks free.
Skype
Skype is not only ridiculously inexpensive – it also has great call clarity. Carla & I (OnlineBizInsiders.com) use it to produce our podcast. It sounds that good. Here’s a deal to get you started: Get 3 months for the price of 2 on all 3 or 12 month calling subscriptions from Skype until 1st June, 2011.
